چکیده

Many researchers have used different auxiliary parameters such as coefficient of variation, kurtosis, skewness, quartiles, deciles etc., to improve the precision estimators under various sampling schemes. This paper suggested a class ratio with two known variable for estimation population means simple random sample without replacement (SRSWOR) using calibration weighting method. The calibrated weight was obtained new constraint, which includes standard deviation variable. biases and mean square errors proposed were derived compared existing modified in Upadhyaya & Singh [1], [2], Lu Yan [3], Tian [4]. Furthermore, we condition perform better than estimators. results from real data sets showed that

Comparison of Ratio Estimators with Two Auxiliary Variables

Many estimators of the population parameters are constructed using known auxiliary variables. The classical well known ratio estimator is one of them. Ratio estimators are frequently employed in sample surveys when estimating the population mean Y of a variate Y with the help of the known population means of a correlated auxiliary variables. Various improvements of this ratio estimator have bee...

A Class of Ratio Estimators of a Finite Population Mean Using Two Auxiliary Variables

In sample surveys, it is usual to increase the efficiency of the estimators by the use of the auxiliary information. We propose a class of ratio estimators of a finite population mean using two auxiliary variables and obtain mean square error (MSE) equations for the class of proposed estimators. We find theoretical conditions that make proposed family estimators more efficient than the traditio...

Some estimators for a finite population mean under two-stage sampling using multivariate auxiliary information

In this paper, we have derived difference, regression and predictor estimators for two-stage sampling with unequal first-stage units using multivariate auxiliary information. The mean square error of these estimators have been derived. A numerical illustration is given for finding the relative comparisons. 2003 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

A Family of Estimators of Population Mean Using Information on Two Auxiliary Attribute

Submitted: May 23, 2013; Accepted: Jul 3, 2013; Published: Jul 19, 2013 Abstract: This paper deals with the problem of estimating the finite population mean when some information on two auxiliary attributes are available. It is shown that the proposed estimator is more efficient than the usual mean estimator and other existing estimators. The study is also extended to two-phase sampling. The re...
